What we collect

Nothing automatically, beyond the standard server logs our hosting provider keeps (IP address, requested page, timestamp — the logs every web host generates). The estimate form collects your name, email, phone number, municipality or county, your preferred reply, the situation and tank details you select, and anything you type in the optional notes field — and only when you submit it. The homepage breakdown offer collects your name, email and phone number; the cost-report and guide-download forms collect your email. If you never submit a form, we have nothing about you.

Where it goes

A form submission is sent over an encrypted connection to a small program running on our hosting provider, Cloudflare, which checks the submission and writes it to our database. The database is hosted by Supabase, which runs PostgreSQL on Amazon Web Services infrastructure in the United States. Those two companies are our processors: they hold the data on our behalf and under contract, and neither is permitted to use it for anything else.

Nobody else receives it. Your details are not sold, not rented, not sent to a contractor, and not shared with a marketing partner or a data broker. Access on our side is limited to named accounts with two-factor authentication.

How we use it

One use today: so a person here can reply to your submission, within one business day, using the contact details you gave us and the timing preference you selected. We do not sell lists and we do not use your information for advertising.

Contractor matching is the service we are building, and it is not running. If it starts, sharing your details with a contractor will require asking you again and naming who they are — the permission you gave on the form covers us contacting you, and nothing more. Calls, texts and emails

When you tick the permission box on a form, you are agreeing that we may contact you about that request by email or phone. In plain terms:

• The contact comes from Remove The Tank, by a person, about the request you sent. We use no auto-dialler and no prerecorded or artificial voice messages.
• Ticking the box is not a condition of anything. Every guide, cost table, calculator and public registry link on this site is free whether you tick it or not.
• You can withdraw it at any time by replying stop to a message or asking us in writing, and we will stop contacting you. Ask us to delete the record and we will do that too.
• If contractor matching starts, we will ask separately before your details go to anyone, and we will name the firm.

Analytics

We use Cloudflare Web Analytics to count page views and see which pages people read. It is privacy-first by design: it sets no cookies, does not fingerprint you, and does not track you across other sites. No Google Analytics, no advertising pixels, no session recording. If we ever change what we measure, this page is updated before or alongside that change.

Calculators

The cost estimator, remove-vs-close calculator, and leak-risk tool run entirely in your browser. The numbers you enter are not transmitted to us or to anyone else.

Retention and requests

We keep form submissions for 18 months, then delete them. To see what we hold about you or to have your submission deleted sooner, email contact@removethetank.com from the address you submitted — include your reference number if you have it — and we'll handle it.

Cookies, accounts, and fonts

There are no accounts on this site and we set no cookies. The page fonts load from Google Fonts, which means Google's font servers see the standard request metadata (your IP address and browser details) when a page loads.
